Party Monster - The Shockumentary (Documentary 1998) Documentary film detailing the rise of the club kid phenomenon in New York City, the life of club kid and party promoter Michael Alig and Alig's murder (with Robert "Freeze" Riggs) of fellow club kid and drug dealer Angel Melendez. The film is based in part on the James St. James book on the murder, Disco Bloodbath and combines interview footage of Alig from prison, St. James, scene watchers like Michael Musto and a number of other former club kids with archive footage from various parties and dramatic re-enactments. The book and this film also served as bases for the 2003 film, also called Party Monster.

Sonic Acts: From Stockhausen to Squarepusher (Documentary 1998) Using interviews, music fragments and archive footage, the film provides a picture of developments in electronic music seen in a historic perspective. The starting point is that the dividing line between serious electronic music and pop is fading and there is clearly a cross-over. So Wrong They're Right (Documentary 1995) This film documents one of the many evanescent conjunctions of lifestyle and technology: the 8-track music cassette player, and those who remain or have become avid supporters of it. Hugely popular in the '70s, having an 8-track in your car was the epitome of with-it-ness. Even though the technology for these tape players had a number of drawbacks, there is a small but fanatical group which today claims that 8-tracks give sound quality superior to that of CDs. Music recorded in the heyday of the 8-track ranges from disco (The Village People) to what was then considered hard rock (Kiss), and aficionados celebrate their cherished machines and memories here.

Berliner Trance (Documentary 1993) This lost classic, shot on 16mm in a wintry Berlin in 1993, explores the origins of the now monumentally massive German Trance and Dance music scene. With interviews with luminaries such as Dr Motte, Paul van Dyk, Laurent Garnier, Paul Browse, Mijk van Dijk and MFS label supremo Mr Mark Reeder this now legendary exploration into the underworld of what was the most significant force in driving dance music forward in the 20th century. Party Monster (Film 2003) Set in the New York club scene of the late 1980's thru the 1990's, a tale which chronicles the rise and fall of club-kid promoter Michael Alig, a party organizer, whose extravagant life was sent spiralling downward when he boasted on television that he had killed his friend, roommate, and drug dealer, Angel Melendez. Originally from Indiana, Alig moved to New York, and came to be an underground legend, known for his excessive drug use and outrageous behavior in the club world. At his peak, he had his own record label, and magazine, and hosted Disco 2000, one of the biggest club nights in New York in the '90s.

24 Hour Party People (Film 2002) Manchester 1976: Cambridge educated Tony Wilson, Granada TV presenter, is at a Sex Pistols gig. Pi (Film 1998) Max is a genius mathematician who's built a supercomputer at home that provides something that can be understood as a key for understanding all existence. Representatives both from a Hasidic cabalistic sect and high-powered Wall Street firm hear of that secret and attempt to seduce him. Allthough the film doesnt revolve around any electronic scene, the soundtrack to the movie does.

Vibrations (Film 1996) Rising star, TJ Cray, gets the shot of a lifetime, an audition with a A & R man. On the way into the city, a carload of drunks smash into his car, severing his hands. He drops out of the business and becomes a homeless drunk. Cray wakes up to a pulsing beat in an abandoned warehouse, where a "rave" party is in full action. To his rescue comes Anamika, a computer artist, who takes him outside for fresh air. They become friends and eventually reinvent TJ's career. With the help of friends, they replace his hands with prosthetics and design a metallic cyber looking suit. TJ quickly becomes an overnight sensation, known as Cyberstorm.
