Iceland is the smallest of the nordic nations with a population of only 320.000, with two thirds of the population living in the captial Reykjavik and the surrounding areas. Iceland is know for its strange and colorful alien-like nature with numerous glaciers, black beaches, volcanoes, waterfalls, mountains and fjords. Though situated far north, the warm North Atlantic Current ensures generally higher annual temperatures than in most places of similar latitude and is a true pleasure to explore with a camera.
